Kickstarter launched!

Want a $10 digital download of my upcoming record in time for the holidays? The Kickstarter campaign is up and running and your pre-release support is greatly appreciated!

About the album:

Might Nigh is an Appalachian English word meaning almost or very nearly. This album represents songs of homecoming and passage. Moving back to the upstate region of South Carolina after four years of living in New York city (and before that, Boston), I reconnected with the sights and sounds of my childhood- the Blue Ridge Mountains, the sounds of southern tree frogs and cicadas at night. Life came richly- I got married and embarked on a lifetime exploration of loving another human being through ups and downs, we lost his father Jack to cancer, and I have explored at new depths and heights the joys and losses of life. These experiences have woven themselves into a group of songs that I am proud of- songs that survived self critique and re-writing to make it into the final record shared here.

Recorded and mixed with Scott Minor at Wild Chorus Studio in Knoxville, Tennessee and also engineered in Austin, Texas with Grant Johnson, the album showcases familiar voices and sounds from previous records (shout out to the Annie Street crew), but also brings an infusion of more rock-driven and electronic sounds to the fore. This record is a natural next step, and I am excited to share it with you.

The funds raised here will pay for final mixing with Wild chorus, Mastering with Carl Saff in Northwest Chicago, the costs of artwork for the album and CD printing costs. Any additional funds raised beyond the project goal will go to use in the form of independent promotion of this record as it is not financially supported by any record label.   As an independent artist, anything above the project goal will be used to share this record with as many people as possible.

Many thanks to fans and friends who have supported this music over the years. I'm very excited to share this project with you and hope you will be inspired to share it with others. Thanks for your support!
